My New Best Friends

Sometimes I sit and wonder how my "Must See TV" changed from these guys...

To these guys!!!

Being a mom is the best thing I've ever done - and I love almost every minute of it.  But, sometimes when I am singing "There's a Party in My Tummy" while I am showering, I just shake my head and wonder if I will ever be a grown up again.  Then I remember that Noah used to be 2 and somehow he is now 13 and I just sing louder.  Time goes by way too quickly not to enjoy it.  So what if my DVR is filled with cartoons!
Happy Thursday!

Mamaw Betty & Papaw Troy

I am so blessed to have my wonderful grandparents living in the same town.  Not only do they keep AnnaLauren every Wednesday (and spoil her rotten!), my grandmother is quite the seamstress.  She makes most of AnnaLauren's awesome custom outfits and summer dresses.  This year, she made AnnaLauren a beautiful Christmas dress!  I love it and think she looks like a doll in it.

Thanks Mamaw!!!

A Tiny Bit of Craftiness

So, most of the blogs I read are either "Crafty Blogs" or "Mommy Blogs".  As I am continually learning, evolving and expanding this blog, I realize that although I am WAY more of a Mommy Blogger, I aspire to the craftiness I read about.  It is in this spirit that I present my craftiness - hairbows!  When AnnaLauren was born (see it all goes back to being a mommy), I quickly realized that my tastes were excellent.  However, my pocketbook was not always accommodating.  So, after paying $10+ each for hairbows too many times, I went online, googled hairbow instructions and taught myself.  Now I buy ribbon at Wal-Mart or 1/2 price at Hobby Lobby and AnnaLauren has bows to match all her cute outfits for $1 or less each!  Wanna know how to make bows of your own?  Go here

Hip Hip Hooray for Christmas Vacation!

People seem to like my posts much better when I am short on words and long on pictures, so here goes...

Welcome to our holiday home!

This is the cross from our front door and the bows from the front of our house.  I don't know why I didn't take any of the wreaths.

Here is our tree and mantle - we decided on a red and lime green theme this year and I love it!  We will definitely be adding to it as year go by.

The dining room (not completely red and green yet) as well as some other random decor.

Christmas Morning 2009

Santa laid out all of Noah and AnnaLauren's goodies - he knows our kids love to unwrap!

Noah had lots of good things in little packages - fave gift - his iPhone.

AnnaLauren LOVES her baby care center!

Noah was a fabulous big brother and helped AnnaLauren open, open and open some more.

Random Fun - from our house and the grandparents

Miss Willow

War wounds from big time playing!

Under the tree with the last of the presents.

And lastly, it wouldn't be Christmas without a little bit of bottomless sliding and a messy playroom!

Happy 2010 Y'all!
