Bragging on my big kid!

From Tupelo Middle School's website:

ACT EXPLORE
December 16, 2009

Tupelo Middle School recently gave the ACT EXPLORE test to all 8th graders as part of GEAR UP Mississippi's plan to prepare students for college. Sumner Fortenberry and Noah Cox scored two of the highest scores in the state. The highest score attainable was a 25. Sumner Fortenberry scored a 24 and Noah Cox scored a perfect 25. Pictured are Sumner Fortenberry, Principal Linda Clifton, and Noah Cox.

Congratulations Noah!
We are SO proud of you!

Going to see Ho Ho

The Christmas season wouldn't be complete without a visit to see Santa Claus (or as AnnaLauren calls him, Ho Ho).  We were worried that she might cry, but she climbed right up in his lap and told him she wanted Tinkerbell for Christmas.  When the photographer called her name, she looked up, grinned and said "cheese" - classic AnnaLauren!

CHRISTmas

If you know us, you know that Tommy and I love Christmas, but sometimes we love it for different reasons.  I love the decorating, the food, the presents and all the rest of the hoopla.  Tommy gets frustrated with the consumerism and wishes everyone would just focus on Jesus' birth.  I sometimes get so caught up in all the glitter and ribbon that I forget to focus on the fact that He is the reason we celebrate.  So just to help us all remember, here is something I found.  With all the government interference in our lives, I thought it is telling that this verse says that the government is on His shoulders.

Merry Christmas and God bless you all!

The official 2009 Christmas Card unveiling...

This year our Christmas card photos were made while AnnaLauren had strep throat - no fun!
But, they still turned out pretty cute.  I can't believe how much they have changed since last year.

Merry Christmas!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We had an impromptu photo shoot with Noah and AnnaLauren a few days ago.
